A young winery in the Mexican “Napa Valley”

Valle de Guadalupe is full of wine producers, one of these is Viñas de Garza that want to create premium wines

In the 2003 Amado & Ana Garza decided to open their own winery. They were aware that also the small Mexican wineries could create premium wines, combining personality and quality in their production. Now Viñas de Garza own 15 ha of vineyards, the main grape varietals are Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon but are also tested other grape varietals such as: Tempranillo, Grenache, Zinfandel, Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc.

Amado says that the main difference between Baja California wines and ones produced in other places of Mexico is the climate. Here the weather facilitate the growth of vines and so they reach the phenolic maturation easily. This allow to have high structure in wines and an high alcohol content.

Now the winery produce 100.000 bottles/year with the same passion and attention for product care.
